My Story

Scene 1

A family of 4, 

on a picnic by the Fraser river enjoying their time,

happily, then going back home.

They find a letter by the door, children get excited, parents get worried, the scene fades out.

Scene 3

Women’s Perspective:

She wakes up and doesn't find him

Finds a note “I’ll be back”

Worry sinks in.

Man’s Perspective:

At the conscription office, 

Arguing and addressing the fact that he has a family and kids he cannot leave.

Getting rejected.

Leaving, anger and sadness overtaking him.

Scene 2

They have dinner together.

As the kids go to sleep, the parents sit in the living room and slowly open the letter.

As they slowly read it the wife starts crying.

He was getting conscripted into the army.

He hugs her and the scene fades out.
